Our story
We were founded in 2019 by Dennis Peterson (20+ years electrical experience, Robert Moller (electrical inspector 15 years) and Chris Syer (who also has 20 years electrical experience) to provide thermal imaging to clients across Australia. Since forming SwitchboardThermalImaging.com.au, we have been expanding our knowledge and our team to offer a specialised range of services, better suited to each of our clients’ individual needs.
Dennis Peterson – Director,

His extensive background includes many years in the petrochemical industry, where he worked with major refineries such as Shell and large corporations like Siemens. He has also been involved in union projects across Melbourne, contributing his expertise to critical infrastructure and large-scale industrial operations. This diverse experience has given Dennis a deep understanding of complex electrical systems, safety compliance, and industry best practices.
At Peterson Power, Dennis leads a team specialising in electrical maintenance for large and small factories, as well as household electrical requirements. His company is known for reliability, professionalism, and exceptional service, making it a trusted choice for electrical work in the Mornington Peninsula and beyond.
As the director of Switchboard Thermal Imaging, Dennis focuses on preventative electrical maintenance using advanced thermal imaging technology. His team helps businesses detect potential hazards in switchboards before they lead to costly failures or safety risks, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
Robert Moller – Director,
Elecsafe Electrical Inspection and Switchboard Thermal Imaging
Robert Moller is a licensed Electrical Inspector and Electrician with over 29 years of industry experience. His expertise spans commercial, industrial, and renewable energy electrical installations, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and industry best practices.
Robert is the Director of Elecsafe Electrical Inspection, where he ensures businesses and households meet the highest electrical safety standards. He is also a Director of Switchboard Thermal Imaging, bringing his knowledge of electrical safety and preventative maintenance to help businesses reduce downtime and mitigate electrical hazards through advanced thermal imaging technology.
In addition to his professional roles, Robert has been a Director of the Institute of Electrical Inspectors (IEI) for over 10 years and currently serves as the Deputy Chairman. He has contributed significantly to the industry as a member of multiple committees and standards development teams with Standards Australia. Through his work with the IEI, he maintains regular contact with leading industry experts, keeping him informed of the latest industry initiatives and regulatory changes.
With his extensive experience and commitment to electrical safety, Robert continues to set industry benchmarks, ensuring businesses remain compliant and operate efficiently.
